Stretching helps keep you limber, relaxed and lessens your chance of injury.
Always stretch within your comfort limits and never to the point of pain.
When you stretch – take your time. A long sustained, mild stretch reduces unwanted muscle tension and tightness. Hold each stretch for at least 15 seconds.
Don’t bounce when stretching. Breathe easily and try to relax as you increase your stretch. Tune into your body and focus on the muscles and joints being stretched.
