The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Public Utilities Department issued a boil water notice today (4/10/19) for the reservation’s agency area served by the Warm Springs Water Treatment Plant. This notice is for an exceedance of turbidity.
They anticipate the notice will be rescinded sometime Friday once the turbidity has been brought back into compliance and the distribution crew has had some BacT testing done along with system flushing.
For affected homes and facilities this means DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST. Bring all water to a rolling boil for at least three minutes and let cool before using OR use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice.
